August 23, 1950 ~ November 24, 2021 (age 71)

Obituary

Cheryl Ann Holiday (Tetreault) Keaney (Cheri), 71, of Ormond Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 after a brief and sudden six-week battle with cancer. She was receiving hospice care at home.

Born in Providence, Rhode Island to the late Theodore and Hazel (Carlson) Tetreault, Cheri lived in Scituate, RI until 2016. Since then, she has been living full time in a luxury motorhome, spending winters in Florida and traveling the country in the summer. She was the loving wife of David Keaney, having celebrated 45 years of marriage last April 17. She worked for many years for Monet Jewelry and later for Jerry’s Market in Coventry, RI.

Cheri loved caring for her dogs and cooking for her friends and family. She easily made friends everywhere she went with her quick wit and ready jokes. She had a knack for making people feel welcome and comfortable. Cheri was excitedly looking forward to moving into a new home that is currently under construction in Ormond Beach.

She is survived by her husband, David, and her siblings, Carol Tetreault of Port Orange, FL, Allan Tetreault of Portsmouth, RI, Arthur Tetreault of Port Orange, FL, Jason Tetreault of Providence, RI and Ellen Mah of Boston, MA. She was also the sister of the late Merrill Goodwin.

There will be a private viewing at the Pinello Funeral Home, 1036 Derbyshire Rd, Daytona Beach, FL, followed by cremation. A celebration of Cheri’s life will be held at the Sunshine Holiday Daytona RV Resort Clubhouse in Ormond Beach, FL after the holidays. A second celebration of life will be held in Rhode Island at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, and in memory of Cheri’s love of rescue dogs, memorial donations in her name to Emily’s Friends Rescue, PO Box 602, Rossville, GA 30741 or via PayPal at adoptions@emilysfriendsrescue.com would be appreciated.
