Eddie "P-Sam" Howard McCante

Eddie Howard "P-Sam" McCante, 65, of Daytona Beach, Florida entered eternal rest on Wednesday, January 11, 2023.  Born in Dalton, Georgia to the late Mr. James and Eddie "Edna" McCants. Eddie moved to this area in 1968.  Eddie was educated in Volusia County School System and later entered into the United States Army.  

Eddie was employed by Dimucci Construction for over 15 years as a plaster, then partnering with his sons to establish Sam and Sons Construction.  Eddie enjoyed fishing, watching his favorite black and white television shows.  Also, looking at his varies winning sports football teams and loved doing cookouts with his family and friends.  

He is preceded in death by five siblings: Mary McCloud, Betty McCants, Sinda McCants, Grady McCants and Willie McCants.

Eddie leaves to cherish his memories his devoted belove of 22 years Vickie; sons: Morris, Marquis, Kenneth, Eric, Edward, Eddie (Theresa), Ernest (Justine), Eugene, and Erin; daughters: Katherine, Natalie, and Krystal; 27 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; siblings: Ruby Dean Gilliam, Beulah Johnson (Ernest) all of Daytona Beach, Rosalyn Porter (Harry) of Washington D.C., Thomas McCants (Yutta), Claude McCants (Nina) all of Atlanta, Georgia.  Also, a host of nieces and nephews including a devoted niece Latoria Kelly and Husband Rick and his mini caregiver Ratoria Kelly who loved calling her uncle and making sure he gets in on her conversations; aunts: Florine, Clara and Uncle Jessie.  Eddie also had a varety of bonus son and daughters including Candice, Kala Reumeka and many sorrowing friends from all over.
