Janice Elaine Nelson

Janice Elaine Nelson 63, of Daytona Beach, Florida answered the Savior’s call and departed us on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, at 8:33 P.M. surrounded by Love and Family.

Janice was a lifetime resident of Daytona Beach and was born to Freda Mae Nixon and the late Richard Lee Tucker. Janice was a housekeeper for various hotels around the Daytona Beach area. She was a well-known candy lady and “THE NEIGHBORHOOD GODMOTHER”.

Janice leaves to cherish her memory her mother Freda Mae Clark; two sisters Lisa Clark Hills (Darren Whitty Jr & Amari Hills) and Chandra Tucker (LaKiva Dew). Her five daughters: Shakitha Young, Rhodisha Nelson, Latoya Nelson, Yotosha White, and Renona Hogan. Her two bonus daughters are Ciara and Cassidy Gates, and her two God daughters: Shanice Butler and Tanesha Jackson. Eight grandchildren: Chad Davis Jr, Chaythen Davis, Samhaad Savage, Tommy Jackson IV, Journi Miller, Dy’lan Galery, Juliana Miller, and Travis Williams III, and a host of nieces and nephews, and a multitude of family and friends who all love and adore her.
