Minister Tewanna Rena Nelson of Daytona Beach peacefully passed away on Thursday, May 12, 2022. The staff of Pinello Funeral Home extends their deepest sympathy to the family of Minister Nelson.
Minister Tewanna Nelson was born in Daytona Beach, Florida on June 26, 1962 to Mildred Bryan. She was educated in the Volusia County School System and graduated from Spruce Creek High School. Tewanna worked in healthcare for many years until her own health prohibited it, but her love for others didn’t stop. She became a minister which was a natural extension of her caring and giving spirit.
Tewanna was preceded in death by a dear stepfather, Linwood Hamilton, and grandparents, Thomas and Evelyn Bryan, Sr who were like parents. Those left to cherish her memory are her mother, Mildred Bryan; brothers Clifford Nelson, Jr (Cynthia); Gerald Nelson, Frederick Nelson and Evans Smith (Telcyn); sisters Bridgette Hamilton and Mona Hamilton; sons Brian Nelson (Sherry Smith) and Broderick Nelson (Paula); grandchildren Brian Nelson, Jr; Breniah Nelson, Brayden Nelson, Bremari Nelson, Broderick Nelson, Jr.; Brandon Nelson, Bryce Nelson, Braylen Nelson, Aniyah Woods, Jayden Marshall and Khalil Bush; great-grandchild Yazmin Nelson; special sons Frankie Smith and Darian James, god sisters Chequetta Lord and Treeca Lewis, as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, godchildren and friends.
