Miriam Santiago, of Ormond Beach, FL, transitioned into eternal rest on Friday, September 22, 2023, at the age of 88.
Miriam Santiago was born on November 4, 1934, to the late Ramón and Edelmira Torres, in Ponce, Puerto Rico. She came to New York in the mid-1950’s, where she met and married her beloved husband, Angel. They started a family in Brooklyn, then relocated to Middletown, New York, before retiring to Ormond Beach in 2007.
Miriam leaves behind to cherish her memories, her beloved husband, Angel Santiago, a son, Angel (Carla) Santiago, Jr., a daughter, Brenda Santiago-Hill; two granddaughters, Kirstie (Josh) Ebersviller, and Kaitlin Thompson; and two great- grandsons, Connor and Sean Ebersviller.
Miriam is also survived by siblings, sisters Monce (Alex) Fernandez, and Margie (Jose) Castellón, as well as several nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand- nephews, cousins, and life-long friends.
Miriam is preceded in death by her parents, Ramón and Edelmira (Rodriguez) Torres, two brothers: Fernando Torres, and Rene Torres; sisters Lillian Torres, Edith Torres, and Naomi Galarza,
as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended, beloved family members.
