Priscilla Dale (Wooley) Dennis, 85, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday
March 11, 2024. She was the beloved daughter of Golie Brice and Mary Antie
Wooley. Dale, as she was known, was born June 30, 1938, in Fort White, FL. She had
two siblings, Orbie Wooley (Margaret) of Fort White, FL and a twin sister Gale, who
passed away at birth.
Tom and Dale met and were married on July 21, 1954. Together they raised four
children. Dale was a homemaker until the age of 48 when she decided to go back to
school for nursing. In 1986 she graduated as a Licensed Practical Nurse and worked
until the age of 65 at Lake City Medical Center.
Dale is preceded in death by her father and mother Golie and Mary, brother Orbie
and twin sister Gale. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Thomas “Tom”
Dennis. Two daughters, LuCinda Hamm and Kimberly Dennis (Manny) both of
Gainesville, FL. Two sons, Frank Dennis (Becky) of Fort White, FL and Brice Dennis
(Glenda) of Jasper, FL. She was also a proud and loving “Granny” to 10
grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at Elim Church 3435 SW Elim Church Rd Fort White, FL
with visitation at 11am and service at 12 noon. Graveside will follow at Fort White
Cemetery in Fort White, Florida.
