Richard D. Litz Jr. (AKA)  Coach, Slapshot or Butchie
 

Rich was born in Clinton, NY and moved to Daytona Beach 40 years ago.  He passed away peacefully in the company of family and friends following a prolonged illness. 

Survivors include his wife Shirley, sons Jason, Craig, David, Brian, & Micah (Taylor) and his little buddy, Hayden Lane, who affectionately called him, “Poppy.” Brothers Paul, Mike (Heidi), and Dave (Karen), and his girls, Jenna & Hannah.  In addition, he was a father figure to many and leaves behind many friends.

Richie was an avid golfer and often the life of the party. He was well known and hardly knew a stranger. If there was a Coors Light close by or a sporting event, you would find him there.  He was a die-hard Yankees fan and a Florida Gators fan.   He will be forever loved and missed.
