Mrs. Shirley Ann Robinson was born to the late Mr. Leo Smith and Mrs. Julia Sylvester Overstreet on May 7, 1962, in Daytona Beach, Florida. Shirley attended Volusia County Schools where she graduated from Spruce Creek High School and later attended Daytona Beach Community College. She worked as a cook and driver for Pizza Hut for many years. Shirley is also a former employee of Pinello Funeral Home. Shirley was a member of Mt. Mission Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor David Strapp. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and friend. Shirley was an outgoing person who loved life and enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed watching old sitcoms such as The Andy Griffth Show, Little House on the Prairie and Jerry Springer. Shirley battled with lupus, and she enjoyed being a part of the Lupus awareness and a part of the Red Hat Society.
On Tuesday, July 4, 2023, Shirley transitioned from this earthly life into her eternal rest.
She was preceded in death by her mother Julia Sylvester Overstreet; father Leo Smith and brothers Joe Earl Fields Sr., Samuel Smith, and Robert Sylvester.
She leaves to cherish her memory her children Sharell Badie, Ka'Juan Smith (Mario Fountain), Julian Middleton, Jantrice Middleton, D'Tron (Christina) Middleton; sister Susie (Henry) Walker; brothers Howard (Elaine) Sylvester, and Stanley Sirmans; 14 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Dianne Gainous Fields and a multitude of family and friends.
