Tom Self

Self—John “TOM” Self, 84, of South Daytona, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday 10-13-22, surrounded by his family. Tom was born in Trion, Ga. and moved to the Daytona Beach area in 1956. He was a longtime member of Central Baptist Church, Daytona Beach and the owner/ operator of Self Trucking in South Daytona. Tom enjoyed his down time at his Lake Disston home, watching his Georgia Bulldogs play, traveling in his motor home and most of all, family gatherings. He is survived by his son, 3 daughters, his brother and sister, 10 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 3 nieces, a nephew and many beloved friends. Tom Self’s life will be celebrated at 3:00 pm this Sunday 10-23-22 in the chapel of Pinello Funeral Home, 1036 Derbyshire Rd, Daytona Beach, Fl 32117 with Pastor Sonny Gallman officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2:00pm - 3:00pm prior to service time. A reception will follow in the funeral home.
