William Washington Blount, 78, Daytona Beach, passed away on July 9, 2021.
William Washington Blount was born January 13, 1943, in Port Orange, Florida to Andrew Thomas and Grace Blount.
William worked for the City of Daytona Beach Public Works Department for 40 years as well as a second job at night with Volusia County Schools in the Maintenance Department. He was the true definition of an honorable man. He was very humble, traditional, and loving. He worked very hard to provide for his family and he enjoyed nothing more than being in the company of his loved ones. He also enjoyed cooking on the grill and watching Westerns. He loved to eat, laugh, and enjoy life. He was the strength of our family, and we are going to miss him deeply.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters: Margaret, Maude, and Mary.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife Sara Blount; daughters: Ramona Blount-Shelton (Ralph), Rhonda Jones, Pamela Williams, Kristine Lawson, and Penny; sons: Keith and Ken; sisters: Edna Knight and Gracie Neeley; a brother, Andrew Thomas Blount, Jr.; 17 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
